Henyo Master Joey de Leon shared a witty statement about “fake” as they are called the legit Dabarkads.

Joey was the one who created the Eat Bulaga title that is now considered the longest-running noontime show while the “Dabarkad” or “barkada” when unscrambled was coined by the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona.

However, these terms are now being used associated with the Kapuso noontime show led by Isko Moreno and Paolo Contis.

When TVJ transferred to TV5, they were not able to carry with them the Eat Bulaga title because of the legal issues that were involved. However, they are firm in saying that they are the legit Dabarkad.

When the pilot airing happened on July 1, the TVJ trio introduced their show title EAT which means Eto Ang Totoo.

In a recent episode of the Kapatid noontime show, Joey de Leon caught the attention of viewers and the online community with his Henyo Master statement.

He said that they are the”legit” and those who are fake should get a reverse name as well. “Kami legit, yung mga alam niyo na, peke, baliktarin niyo yung legit, tigel (tigil) na kayo please, okay?” the veteran comedian said. The audience at the back clapped after Joey said this.

To recall, rumors surface that GMA’s Eat Bulaga will have its final episode on July 29. However, the lawyer of TAPE Inc. debunked the speculations and threatened to sue those who are spreading the fake news.

It was already reported that Paolo Contis and Isko Moreno signed a long-term contract with the management of TAPE Inc.
