Amanda Zamora‘s first showbiz rumor appeared out of nowhere. There was always the option to ignore it since it’s all gossip anyway, but the 23-year-old Star Magic artist chose to face it.

Amanda was romantically linked to actor Daniel Padilla these past few days after a woman named “Amanda” was brought up during a vlog about the status of Daniel’s love life, describing her as the “new girl” of the actor. Moreover, alleged photos of Daniel getting cozy while strolling with a woman in public rapidly circulated online. The rumors come several months after Daniel and on-screen-slash-off-screen partner Kathryn Bernardo ended their 11-year relationship.

These details were enough to stir the public’s attention and make speculations about the two personalities involved. And they aren’t harmless, either.

In an Instagram story on July 30, 2024, Amanda called to put an end to the baseless rumors and also to practice more kindness towards each other. Along with her plea came her strong denial of the rumors associating her with the 29-year-old actor.

In the now-deleted IG story, Amanda wrote, “I kindly ask everyone to stop spreading baseless rumors and fake news where I am in no way associated with. May we be kinder in words towards one another and practice discernment, especially on the internet. Thank you.”

In a public event last July 31, 2024, the politician took the chance to address rumors about his daughter. The mayor directly shut down the issue in front the press.

“Alam niyo, sige, siguro banggitin ko na rin po, yes, ang aking anak po ay nali-link kay Daniel Padilla…So, bilang isang ama, gusto ko sabihin sa inyo lahat na hindi po totoo yan,” the mayor stated in a report by PEP.ph.

Asked about the alleged photos of Daniel and Amanda, Mayor Francis defended his daughter by stating that Amanda isn’t even in the Philippines. “Definitely hindi ko po anak ‘yun, kung sakaling may mga viral photos. […] She’s 23 years old. She’s now focused on her studies kasi siya po ay, in fact, nasa Amerika po ngayon,” Amanda’s father explained in her behalf.

According to PEP.ph, Amanda is studying for her Master’s Degree in Marketing in the States. Mayor Francis firmly added that his daughter has been single all her life, describing her as a very goal-oriented woman.

“Oh, yes. Si Amanda has been single all her life so hindi po totoo ‘yan. In fact, I’m surprised as a father. At her age, single pa rin siya kasi ano, e, very independent-minded and marami siyang gusto gawin sa buhay,” the mayor told the press.

After her quick stint in PBB, Amanda focused on her studies and achieved her bachelor’s degree at De La Salle University just this year. She even posted snaps of her graduation pics on her Instagram with the caption, “For everyone who believed I could.”

Meanwhile, Daniel recently had his contract signing with ABS-CBN, vowing to remain a Kapamilya no matter what. As fans are still waiting for his new projects, Daniel has been laying low after his controversial breakup with Kathryn and is rarely seen from the public eye these days.
