Pagbabahagi niya: “I feel like you learn to appreciate wine with age, not everybody appreciates it right off the bat.
“Like personally me speaking, my entry into wine was that my mom like always drank Moscato while I was growing up, and so, like, I first started drinking just like all the sweet wines.
“I like sweet-tasting things, that’s the thing, and now, I don’t know if it’s my age, but I’m starting to really appreciate more of a like full-bodied red wine.”
Sabi ni Tony, “Like me, on my downtime, I personally like dining alone and I don’t mind drinking alone.
“So yeah, I feel like a nice glass of wine with like a good steak, eating that on my own on, like, my day off.
“It is always, like, a nice treat that I give myself sometimes after, like, a hard week of work.”

“I think there’s always a good reason to drink,” pag-amin niya.
Sabay diin ni Tony, “The problem is that drinking gives really bad hangovers if you drink too much.
“I don’t know, I feel like I’m getting old, I feel like when I wake up in the morning with a really bad hangover, it takes me longer to recover now.”
Ang kagandahan sa wine ayon kay Tony, “It’s like you’re not taking shots, so you’re not gonna get wrecked after like five shots.
“Wine is something that, like, you can savor and appreciate.”
I’m trying to switch my lifestyle right now just because I feel old now.”
Ilang taon na ba siya?
Sagot ni Tony, “I’m 29, but it’s like when I was 21, I could drink every day and manage.
“Now, it’s Iike I can’t do that. If I drink and I’m hungover, I just want to be in bed the whole day the next day.”
Nakapanayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Tony Labrusca sa Wine & Liquor Expo media launch, sa Landers Alabang West sa Daang Hari Road, Almanza Dos, Las Piñas City noong Oktubre 9, 2024.
TONY LABRUSCA ON SOCIAL DRINKING
“I don’t know, I just feel like drinking is fun. Also, us Filipinos, like we do have a drinking culture. I mean, it’s not necessarily wine, but we have, like, more affordable beer.
“And in our downtime, drinking also brings us closer together. Mas sumasarap yung usapan pag nakainom na.”
Pero hindi raw siya yung tipong siya ang mag-organisa ng party para uminom.
“No, it’s the opposite, I’m always the one who’s trying to be a good boy and it’s always my friends trying to invite me out, trying to get me to drink. Ha! Ha! Ha! It’s the other way around.”
“Not at all, I mean, we’re only human. What, you’re going to act like I don’t drink? Like, that’s just irrational.
“I’m more Westernized. So, it’s like, if you’re going to put a standard on me that I’m not drinking and I have to look like I don’t drink, then that’s just crazy.
“I’m not an alien. I’m a 29-year-old normal guy. You’re going to see me at the bar, you’re going to see me enjoying with my friends because I’m human.
“That’s why I’m here at Landers drinking,” natawang paliwanag ni Tony.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “If you’re going to see me at the grocery store drinking, don’t be shocked if you’ll see me at the bar drinking.
“We have one life to live. We gotta enjoy it. Just don’t hurt anybody.”
“In terms of the image thing, I mean, honestly, if that’s important to you, then great/
“Maybe it’s irresponsible for me to say that I just don’t care as much. But it’s like, come on, if you don’t drink, then fine, maybe you can judge me.
“But if you also like to drink, then wala ka dapat sabihin pag nakita mo na umiinom din ako. Ha! Ha! Ha!”
“Yes, of course, of course,” bulalas ni Tony.
“Naku, marami, hindi ko na naaalala,” natawang saad niya.
Basta hindi raw naman umabot sa puntong sumuka siya. Kaya raw niya kontrolin ang sarili niya.
“No, I’m lucky because actually, hindi naman ako kasi talaga makalat pag nakainom, like hindi ako makalat na tao.
“Like yung rule ko lagi is okay lang magkalat kayong lahat, basta ako hindi ako magkakalat.
“Pero kayo kung ang gulo ninyo, nagkakalat kayo, sige okay lang, bahala kayo sa buhay ninyo. Pero ako I never allow myself to reach that point.”
