Anong klaseng ina nga ba si Superstar at National Artist Nora Aunor ayon sa paglalarawan ng anak niyang aktres na si Matet De Leon?

Sa latest episode ng vlog ni Kapamilya broadcast-journalist Bernadette Sembrano noong Sabado, Hulyo 20, ibinuking ni Matet na striktong nanay daw si Nora.

“She’s a strict mom. Very strict. But may lambing si mommy and playful. ‘Pag may oras siya she would play with us,” saad ni Matet.

“‘Pag may oras siya dahil busy siya?” sundot ni Bernadette.

Super,” pagkumpirma ng aktres. “Like most of the time, buong childhood namin mas marami ‘yong busy si mommy kaysa nasa bahay lang siya to play with us.”

Gayunman, nauunawaan naman daw nila ang pagiging abala ng kanilang ina dahil alam nila kung para kanino ang ginagawa nito.

Matatandaang sa isang panayam noong Oktubre 2023 ay naibahagi rin ni Matet ang tungkol sa dapat ay ginawa niya para maging mabuting anak kay Nora.

Matet reveals why she has softened up to John Rendez.

Matet de Leon on why she has become closer to mom, Nora Aunor: “Maybe it’s because I’m also getting back at Mommy, for the headaches… all the headaches I gave her. Yes, I’m really the one she made a problem for. So now, I’m just recovering because I really hurt his head.”

Matet de Leon hosted an interview on Monday, January 23, at their home in Antipolo City.

We had a long conversation especially about his mother, Nora Aunor.

Matet stayed at their home all day, along with her and her husband Mickey Estrada’s children, Mikka, 7, and Mishka, 4.

The opportunity given to us by Matet was perfect because the former child star had no taping for GMA-7’s upcoming afternoon soap Broken Vow .

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) immediately asked Matet what happened when Nora left the country.

Matet had a breakdown because he couldn’t handle the sadness he felt when his mother left again, to undergo a throat operation in Boston, Massachusetts.

Matet explained, “What…of course, it’s still hanging.

“Well, I’m afraid, because he might not come home again.”

That is what happened in 2004, Ate Guy left to do a show in the US and did not return immediately.

With Matet’s feelings, his mommy was even more worried.

“‘Oh, Matet, don’t cry first, I don’t want to!”’ Nora said to him.

“Because he was crying too,” Matet continued. “He doesn’t want anyone to cry. His heart is sad and heavy.

“I think I was the one she was with the most when she first came here,” Matet said, referring to Nora’s return to the country a year ago.

“It’s just [my crying] fast, because Mommy is in a hurry.”

And the mother and daughter hugged tightly.

“Yes, I smelled Mommy, because I might forget her smell again.”

Matet is aware of the preliminary and exploratory examination done on Ate Guy regarding her problem with her throat and vocal cords.

But the Superstar has not yet undergone surgery—he is undergoing therapy first, according to Boy Palma, Nora’s personal manager.

Matet also mentioned in PEP, “Kuya Boy said, it might take two months, because he wants Mommy to rest first.

“Until he is very well [after the operation], he will not come back here.”

It has been more than two weeks since Ate Guy left the country, but according to Matet, he and his mommy have not spoken to each other until now.

“I don’t call him so as not to disturb his rest.

“I pray for him all the time,” he said.

Allegedly, as Matet grew up, he became a problem with Nora.
