Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach will auction off some items from her beauty-pageant journey to raise funds for an advocacy group.

Pia mentioned the items for auction in an Instagram post on October 23, 2024.

These are the items she wore and used from her participation in Miss Pilipinas to Miss Universe 2015 .

Attached to the IG post is a photo of items, such as the silver dress she wore when she was called and entered the Top 15 in Miss Universe 2015, the sashes she wore from the national pageant to Miss Universe, and her “beloved notebooks,” where she wrote “all my thoughts and notes” since she joined Miss Pilipinas.

Pia Wurtzbach is going to auction some of her items she used in her pageant journey, including the silver dress she wore when is was called to be in the Top 15 at Miss Universe 2015.

The funds raised will be donated by the former beauty queen to Love Yourself Inc., an HIV advocacy group that Pia has been supporting ever since.

The advocacy group will build a youth center in Taguig.

There are those who admire Pia, but there are also those who regret the items she will auction.

PIA wurtzbach REACTS TO NETIZENS’ COMMENTS

One netizen praised Pia, but said he knew the beauty queen would be sad to let them go.

These items are said to have sentimental value in Pia’s pageant journey, which brought honor to the country as the third Filipina Miss Universe.

Pia did not deny it. But he insists, this is a good way to help others, even more so because of the many good things that have happened to him.

Sagot ni Pia (published as is): “I acquired these things during a very important time in my life.. and since then then I’ve been so blessed.

“I can’t think of a better way to give it back to the same community that helped me become who I am now.”

The reaction of the netizen who opposed Pia’s plan was bolder.

Anito: “Horrible. Why auction these items? Are they not important to you???”

Pia replied that she was sad to auction off her belongings because they had sentimental value. But it is said to be for a project that is “more memorable and lasting.”

Pia’s full answer (published as is): “of course they are!

“They’re actually more sentimental to me than anything im auctioning off.. all my thoughts are in those notebooks.

“all the struggles, the training, the doubts. Everything!

“Letting them go doesn’t mean they dont matter to me.. THEY DO.

“But I have a plan of turning them into something more memorable and lasting.”

Pia’s auction event is set to happen at a gala on December 3, 2024.
