Kim Chiu did not miss the opportunity to properly explain his stand about “cheating” during the September 22 live episode of It’s Showtime, where he was one of the co-hosts.
Prior to that, the actress-TV host started trending because of her statement about “cheating” during the ‘Reina ng Tahanan’ segment, where it became a topic.
Kim’s statement went: “He might cheat if he wasn’t happy. Maybe the world of cheating would open up if he wasn’t happy with his partner ,”
Vice Ganda immediately confronted him and said that regardless of a person’s emotional state, that is still not a license to betray a relationship.
“You’re happy or not, you shouldn’t be acquitted if you cheated,” said Vice to Kim.
Kim also agreed with what Vice said.
“Yeah, that’s bad,” say ni Kim.
But after that episode, Kim started trending because viewers and netizens misinterpreted Kim’s remarks. They think that Kim can understand “cheating” depending on the situation of the cheater.
That’s why when he got a chance, Kim explained his side again and said that he too had been a victim of cheating and that it was painful.
“I just want to tell everyone and make it clear that I am not in favor of cheating and I will never be in favor of it because I was also a victim and it was not easy and it was very painful.”
He added: ” Because cheating is a long discussion and it can’t end with one word.
“Two hours, five hours…p’wede ngang one week n’yong pag-usapan ’yun. Pero again, [as] Kim Chiu, I am not in favor of cheating and I will never be in favor of that.”
“Of course no one wants to get hurt or no one wants to cheat you.”
When It’s Showtime co-hosts Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz said they should, what Kim was really looking for was a loyal man.
She suddenly greeted her boyfriend Xian Lim on the air with the hint that she has found that “loyal man”.
Then Kim added: “And then what, love, love, love, respect, respect, respect. Let’s spread love and happiness.”
