Miss World Philippines 2024 Krishnah Gravidez took to social media to reveal the impact of actress Janine Gutierrez on her journey as a beauty queen.
On Instagram, she recalled her encounter with Gutierrez in 2019, back when she was a fast food employee.
The actress praised her beauty and asked if she has considered joining pageants — these words stayed with her and helped in her “manifestation.”
“Last event, I met Ms. Janine… again. I was too stunned to say something other than words of appreciation for how mesmerizing she was that night, as if nothing has changed ever since I saw her 5 years ago in a drive-thru. Yes, while I was still working at a fast food chain,” Gravidez said.
“Aside from my belief in the power of manifestation, I affirm that words have a fateful weight in someone’s mind,” she added. “May we choose to be kind, uplifting, and thoughtful to everyone we meet — even if they’re strangers or a service crew member in a restaurant. You’ll never know how much of an impact you leave on them.”
Gravidez went on to address Gutierrez, saying: “Ms. Janine, you may not remember our first encounter, but you spoke life to me. Thank you. I may not have joined the competition you suggested, but I finally landed on the biggest quest of my life as a Miss World Philippines.”
Gutierrez, star of the ABS-CBN series “Lavender Fields,” for her part said: “Oh my gosh this is so cool! You did it! Congratulations on everything and so happy to see you again.”
Gravidez is set to represent the Philippines in the 72nd Miss World pageant, which is set to be held in early 2025.
She first made a splash in the national pageant scene in 2023 as one of the candidates of Miss Universe Philippines. She won the Miss Charm Philippines crown, a title she gave up so she could compete in Miss World Philippines.
