Actress and fashionista Heart Evangelista answered all queries about love in the latest episode of Maja Salvador’s YouTube vlog.

Evangelista gave very candid answers in the “Usapang Puso with @LoveMarieEscudero” episode of Salvador’s “Meet Maja” vlog which went live on Saturday, Feb. 20.

The first fan question she was asked was about how she avoids being jealous. Evangelista answered that it depends on the situation.

“Maybe when I was younger I was a bit sensitive of course because we are actors. It’s like you’re legally cheating by kissing other people. So, it’s hard to understand him,” she said.

(Maybe when I was younger, I was sensitive, because I am an artist. It’s like you’re legally cheating by kissing other people. So, that was hard to understand.)

“But when I lasted, I thought [I] would grow old with jealousy. Then she is not beautiful,” she explained.

Evangelista admitted that she was once head-over-heels in love with John Prats. Because of jealousy, she looked ugly and regretted having lost her self-worth at that time. One day, she realized that all she had to do was to “sit still” and let jealousy go away.

When asked by another fan about tips on how women could avoid overthinking, Evangelista immediately admitted she is also guilty of this.

“Me, I overthink a lot, I have a lot of anxiety,” she said. “Lately, I’ve calmed down.”

(Me, I overthink severely, my anxiety is huge. Lately, I have calmed down.)

To avoid overthinking, Evangelista advised people not to do social media at night so they will not absorb negativity. She also suggested reading passages in “The Daily Bread” to help in keeping one’s calm.

Another question asked was how can someone love without experiencing pain. Evangelista thinks this is impossible to achieve.

“It’s really difficult. That’s included,” she said. “At the same time, he is not only sick, he is also happy. He doesn’t hurt because he hurts you.”

(It’s really hard. Pain comes along with it. At the same time, [love] is not just about pain, it is also happy. It’s not painful because you’re being hurt.)

“He’s sick because you have to learn from yourself, ‘Am I going to change this? What do I want? Can I take it?’ Like, love is a barometer,” Evangelista explained. “Is this right for me? That’s where you get to know and develop your character as a person.”

Evangelista, who is married to Gov. Francis “Chiz” Escudero of Sorsogon, has been busy with her outreach efforts during the pandemic.
