San Miguel Beermen center June Mar Fajardo is determined to win more individual accolades after recently capturing his record 11th PBA Best Player of the Conference award.

The Pinamungahan, Cebu native, emphasized his commitment to being at his best in every conference to secure available individual awards and, ideally, help the Beermen win the championship.

“Sa isip ko wala pa akong napanalunan. Kaya lagi kong pinu-push ‘yung sarili ko na mag-pursige every conference,” the 6-foot-11 Fajardo said in an interview published on the PBA website.

“Never umakyat sa isip ko, ‘yung mga award ko. Kini-keep ko ‘yan, chini-cherish ko ‘yan. Pero never umakyat sa isip ko ‘yang mga na-achieve ko,” added the Gilas Pilipinas mainstay.

The 34-year-old Fajardo accumulated 44.8 statistical points in the Governors’ Cup, averaging 21.0 points, 16.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.0 blocks through the semifinals.
The Cebuano center claimed the BPC award with a total of 989 points, leading in statistical points (465) and media votes (476), while finishing second in players’ votes (252).

In addition to his 11 PBA BPC citations, Fajardo has also won a league-record eight MVP awards and secured 10 championships with the Beermen.
