Following the confirmation of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s breakup on social media, the beloved Pinoy love team’s home network and management have released a statement dated today, December 2. ABS-CBN, together with Star Magic, finally addressed the split of KathNiel that devasted fans.
“Nirerespeto at nauunawaan ng ABS-CBN management at Star Magic ang naging desisyon nina Kathryn Bernardo at Daniel Padilla na maghiwalay,” it began. The ex couple spent 11 years together, and 12 years as on-screen partners.
(“ABS-CBN management and Star Magic respect and understand the mutual decision of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla to part ways.”)
In line with this, they are calling KathNiel fans and everyone to do the same thing before explaining why the pair refused to be interviewed regarding the matter. It continued, “Igalang natin ang mga pahayag nila at huwag na nating dagdagan, bigyan ng ibang kahulugan, o gawan ng kwento at fake news. Wala sa kanila ang nagbigay ng interview o bagong statement dahil nasabi na nila ang kanilang saloobin sa kanilang social media accounts.”
“Hiling namin na galangin ang bawat isa sa kanila para makatulong sa kanilang paghilom at pag-move on.”
(“Let’s respect their statements and refrain from adding more to what was already said or creating fake news. They have not done any interviews or issued any new statements as they have already expressed their sentiments on their social media accounts. Together or apart, both ABS-CBN and Star Magic proclaimed their love and support for the two.
