Longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga still has an existing contract with GMA that will end in 2024, a source revealed.

The Kapuso noontime show has been the talk of the town these past few weeks. It is because of the reported change in management and the rumored rebranding and reshuffling of hosts.

In a recent writeup about the noontime show which featured the iconic trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, it was rumored that negotiation with TV5 is already happening.

It was also said that TVJ negotiated with Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez who owns the production company Brightlight Productions, which has produced several shows on the Kapatid network.

In a recent article by entertainment writer Salve Asis in Pang-Masa, she shared a statement from a source who revealed that Eat Bulaga has an existing contract with the Kapuso network.

The source said that the noontime show will remain on GMA until 2024 unless the TV network will terminate this contract.

Pero reliable ang narinig kong nagkuwento na until next year pa, December 31, 2024, ang contract ng Eat Bulaga sa GMA 7 na ang nakapirma sa contract ay si Mr. Tony Tuviera,” the columnist shared what the source revealed.

With this, Asis said that it is impossible that the noontime show will transfer to another network. She added that an executive of the show confirmed that EB will not leave GMA.

As of this writing, the management of the Kapuso network and the noontime show haven’t released yet any statement regarding this issue.

Meanwhile, EB’s rival noontime show It’s Showtime will start airing at 12 noon on TV5 because Lunch Out Loud is discontinued.
