Kim Chiu can be seen in his new digital series Linlang.  So you can also say that Kim is deceptive, smiling and still like a child sometimes, because you wouldn’t think that he could be so daring in a scene (which was shown to the press during the Linlang media conference).

That’s why one of the immediate questions to Kim was how it was when she and her co-actor, Paulo Avelino, did their hot scene.

” I’m happy,” Kim replied with a laugh and then followed: “Charot only, charot only.”

He said that he actually asked for the help of their director, FM Reyes.

” I am also thankful to our directors because they took care of me so much. They removed all the nervousness, fear, because I really stuck to them.

“Especially in the first scene, FMR (Director FM Reyes), I said, ‘Director, I want to grow, but how? I’m scared, I’m nervous.’ Then, he said, ‘Just trust me, I’ll take care of you.’

“He explained a lot to me, e. It’s like Direk and I, we just started working on a series.  And then, just on the second day of our taping , we did that scene with Paulo.”

Meanwhile, Kim also worked with Paulo Avelino for the first time and she said that he proved that he is really a very quiet person.

“He is a very quiet person,” he said. “Me, it’s only the first day , really, how can I talk to him? Then, he didn’t laugh at me. How is it? Then, on the second day, I was still nervous. But, it’s like, well, he’s game ; so, I’m game too. 

“Supposedly, I am also serious. Then, until I also thanked him because he made the things I was nervous about easier.  Every time I step on our set , I’m really nervous, because it’s not really my forte and I’m not really in my comfort zone.  

“And I’m not confident if I can do it properly and deliver it. But because of our director , FMR, Direk Jojo [Saguin] and my co-actors who are very good, they lift me up and help me and that’s what I’m thankful for in this series .”

In the two episodes that were shown at the advance screening/mediacon in the media, they had almost no scenes of JM Rodriguez , one of the two leading men. But it looks like the connection of their characters is something to look forward to.

As for JM, it’s the second time they’ve worked together on JM’s project so somehow he already knows his kamado. It is said that Paulo really has several factors.

” Paulo is also very kind and helpful in supporting me and he didn’t let me know when I was nervous. I feel , he is not nervous.”

Direk FM’s statement about Kim was good. It further revealed how focused Kim is on her work. It is said that he still has a notebook where he writes the continuity of his emotion and character development in the series.

“It’s the director, he always bullies me into things I don’t believe I can do,” said Kim.

“It’s like this is the role that I never thought I would do in my whole acting career.”

And almost in unison, the press, including us, also told him that we didn’t think he could do what we watched.

“Aren’t we surprised? Me too, he said with a laugh. ” Well, here we go. We’ve done it. So, it’s like I’m just following what the director says because I really have a lot of trust in our directors here in Linlang.”

Aside from Paulo and JM, Linlang also included Kaila Estrada, Ruby Ruiz and Diamond Star Maricel Soriano .

How is Diamond Star working ?

” Mother is very generous, she gives us a lot. Especially me because we are on the same foot. So, I have a lot of shoes to love, from Mother,” Kim announced with a smile.

“There’s always a lot of food in his room,” he continued. “So, we’ll just go there. We will talk. But, when it’s the scene, that’s it, of course, I’m nervous.

“Wait a minute, we can’t do anything here. Of course, I also get nervous when we are in a scene together. Of course, many projects have been done and Inay has appeared in scenes.”

When asked if he had been slapped by Diamond Star…

“‘The slap, well, it’s a little hardcore,” Kim still laughed at the story. “I was very upset. Of course, isn’t it, an actor’s dream is to be slapped? What’s that, bucket list, checked. 

That was one of those amazing scenes.

“But, I’m so thankful that I got to work with Mother,” he continued.  “While I was doing the scene, I was nervous. While I was watching that scene, I was more nervous, for the role of Juliana.  So, it’s great. It’s great to work with a Maricel Soriano who has been around for so long in the industry but very down-to-earth, accommodating to artists like us,” concluded Kim.
