Last Wednesday, January 13, Heart Evangelista narrated to her Twitter followers how she ran after her dog, Che Che, who unexpectedly escaped from her car.

The actress and fashion aficionado was in high heels when she chased Che Che on a busy road filled with vehicles.

“[Scarily] we chased Che Che down the road! I almost slipped into the truck!” she said in one tweet, accompanied by a photo of her beloved pet looking safe and sound.

A more detailed story was posted on Heart’s dog Panda’s Instagram account, saying the incident happened at Ortigas Avenue corner Santolan. In the photo, Panda was seen present in the car where Che Che escaped, the latter on Heart’s lap.

“Poor mum just curled her hair super high heels chased you like an action star!! Stop the truck in front and cars will catch you! Good thing the driver and guard caught up!” the account wrote.

Back on Twitter, Heart thanked a man who gave assistance to recover Che Che, opening his car door to halt her pet dog in the chase.

“To the man who opened his car door to stop cheche thank YOU!” Heart wrote.

“I hope there is no video because our faces are stupid – in curls and high heels, stopping the trucks and cars and running after cheche. What an afternoon,” she quipped.

Among those who helped Heart chase after Che Che were her sister Camille, who was also in high heels, her guards, her hairstylist, and her friends, which she all showered with gratitude.

“To the guards , driver ,my hairstylist ,all my friends and sister Camille (in high heels din) thank you sa pag habol din. What a scene .thank you lord ok lahat,” she said.

Apart from her duties in the acting and fashion world, Heart is also an animal welfare advocate, promoting adoption for rescued dogs, especially aspins or asong Pinoy.
