The Brazilian joined Los Blancos over the summer from Palmeiras.

Endrick is already turning heads at Real Madrid after his impressive start to life in the Spanish capital and has already been given an unusual nickname by his teammates.

The 18-year-old striker arrived at Los Blancos from Brazilian side Palmeiras, putting pen to paper on a six-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He has already made history early on in his Real career, being the youngest player to score on his La Liga debut for the club.

And he added to this in midweek in the Champions League as he scored in the 3-1 victory over Stuttgart, becoming Real’s youngest ever goalscorer in the competition.

Endrick now has two goals in his five appearances for Real and upon his arrival at the Spanish side, he was given the perhaps unusual nickname for a Brazilian of ‘Bobby’.

This was a nod to the late great Sir Bobby Charlton, a survivor of the Munich Air Disaster in 1958 which decimated the Busby Babes.

Sir Bobby won three league titles and the European Cup during his playing career at Old Trafford, and was part of the 1966 England squad which won the World Cup that year.

Sir Bobby passed away last year at the age of 86.

One of Endrick’s new team-mates, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, has now given the true reason behind the Brazilian being given the ‘Bobby’ moniker.

And it seems that the teenager’s words might have been twisted or misinterpreted, but the nickname has now stuck with him.

Speaking to streaming star Ibai Llanos, the goalkeeper said: “He told me that he had been misinterpreted, that what he wanted to refer to had been changed a bit, or something like that.

“I asked him about it one day and he told me that he hadn’t given that answer, that later the video was changed as if he said that he was his idol.”

It is a joke which has caught on with other Real stars, including Jude Bellingham and Endrick’s compatriot Rodrygo.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Rodrygo said: “Now he’s Bobby. He’s not Endrick anymore. He’s caught on to that joke.

“The reception he’s had there (at Real Madrid) is good, not just from the Brazilians. We have a very good group at Real, and it’s no different with him.

“We know his quality and how he can help us. He’s become Bobby, that’s it. He’s taking it easy. There’s nothing he can do, if he gets angry it’s worse!”
