Premier League player owned by 90% of FPL players tells everyone to transfer him OUT of their teams ahead of game week four

One of the most popular picks in Fantasy Premier League has advised managers to transfer him out of their teams ahead of this weekend.

After nearly two weeks, the Premier League is back this weekend, and with it comes the return of fantasy football.

Over the break, Fantasy Premier League managers have already been busy making changes to their teams as they prepare for the fourth gameweek.

But ahead of the matches kicking off this weekend, one highly owned player has asked managers to transfer him out before the deadline on Saturday.

Aleksander Isak is currently owned by just over 90% of FPL managers, making him the most popular player in the entire game, ahead of top scorers Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah.

But despite his popularity, the Newcastle United striker has suggested that managers should take him out of their teams ahead of his match this weekend against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Speaking to fotbollsmorgon after his Nations League match against Estonia, the Swedish international was asked whether FPL managers should captain him this weekend.

Isak replied: “No. It’s much better to hear when people have transferred me out and then score two goals. That’s a much better feeling.”

The 24-year-old also confessed that he does not play FPL as he believes it could impact his performances for the Magpies.

He added: “If I did play, I would have become too selfish on the pitch.”

Over 10 million people playing FPL every year, meaning that more than nine million managers have included Isak in their teams this season.

The forward has rewarded owners by returning 16 points across Newcastle’s three opening fixtures this season.

An assist on the opening day against Southampton as well as a goal plus three bonus points in the match against Tottenham Hotspur means shows that Isak looks likely to match his 172 points total last season.

The Swedish striker joined Newcastle United in the summer of 2022, joining from La Liga side Real Sociedad for a reported club record fee of £63million.

Since then, he has scored 36 goals in 71 appearances and made himself indispensable to the Geordie team.
