Liverpool appear to have disgruntled player on their books.

A Liverpool player has made his feelings very clear regarding his future following the club’s business this summer.

Liverpool had a quiet summer transfer window, having only recruited two players before the window slammed shut.

Federico Chiesa joined from Juventus in a transfer worth up to £12.5 million while the Anfield outfit also snapped up Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia.

Mamardashvili will remain with the La Liga club this season before moving to Merseyside for the start of the 2025/26 campaign.

Liverpool’s decision to sign the Georgian goalkeeper has seemingly frustrated Caoimhin Kelleher, who has questioned the club’s intentions.

Kelleher expressed his desire to leave the Premier League side in search of regular minutes.

Speaking ahead of Ireland’s Nations League clash against Greece on Tuesday, he said: “I’ve made it clear in the last few years that I want to go and be a number one and play week in, week out.

“The club’s made that decision to get another goalkeeper and from the outside looking in, it looks like they’ve made a decision to go in a different direction.”

The Irish stopper added: “Sometimes from the outside looking in, it looks like that’s 100% my decision but at times it’s not always in my hands.

“It’s been reported that Liverpool have rejected a few bids as well. My ambition is clear that I think I’m good enough and I want to go out and prove it.”

Kelleher, who started Ireland’s defeat to England last weekend, has spent his whole professional career at Liverpool.

Since making his debut in the 2019/20 season, the 25-year-old has made 47 appearances across all competitions for the club.

But he has played just 15 league games for the Reds, having enjoyed a spell in goal in the 2023/24 season following an injury to Allison, making 10 league appearances.
