Kim Chiu showed the support she received from a local bakeshop

It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu received a sweet message from Julie’s Bakeshop, which she is endorsing, amid the “dasurv” issue.

The issue started when Kim’s opening spiel on the Kapamilya noontime show was attacked by netizens, especially the supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte. This happened on the day when FPRRD was arrested and forced to face the complaint against him before the International Criminal Court.

Kim mentioned “dasurv” in her spiel and this did not sit well with Duterte’s supporters. Because of this, the Kapamilya star received bashing online. A video of a man in Davao City covering her face in Julie’s Bakeshop tarpaulin went viral.

After the “dasurv” issue, Kim Chiu shared posts on her Instagram story showing the love and support she received from Julie’s Bakeshop.

The actress-host showed the boxes of goods she received from the bakeshop, this included flowers and a letter. “Thank you fam! [red heart emoji] What a great way to start the week [red heart emoji, yellow heart emoji]. Good morning mga Ka-Freshness!!! [red heart emoji],” Kim wrote in the caption of her post.

In her next post, she showcased the content of the letter from the Julie’s Bakeshop family. The food company congratulated Kim in advance for the success of her upcoming movie My Love Will Make You Disappear with actor Paulo Avelino.

Julie’s Bakeshop also reiterated its support for Kim and stated that the company is not condoning the incident that happened in Mindanao and it already taken necessary steps to address the matter. “Once again, thank you for being our Ka-Freshness,” the company stated.

Aside from Kim Chiu, her co-host Vhong Navarro also received bashing online because he also said “dasurv” in his spiel. The comedian-host showed proof that it was indeed a part of their spiel and that he just read it.
