Endrick netted his first UEFA Champions League goal against Stuttgart on Tuesday.

Endrick has explained why he chose not to pass to Vinicius Jr or Kylian Mbappe for his debut Champions League goal.

The Real Madrid star smashed home as Carlo Ancelotti’s side beat Stuttgart 3-1 on Tuesday evening.

Further goals from Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger had put the La Liga giants in a commanding position as the game approached the final moments.

But the 18-year-old added further gloss as he smashed home a drive that beat Alexander Nubel, with the goalkeeper perhaps expecting to do better with the long-range effort.

“I knew I had Kylian and Vini, but at that moment the best option was to shoot,” the Brazil international told the media.

Endrick was brought on with just 10 minutes remaining and went on to make a huge impact.

Having arrived from Palmeiras earlier in the summer, Ancelotti has already offered huge praise of the teenager’s talents.

“He has balls! Endrick had courage,” the Italian said on Tuesday.

“It was the last move of the game. He was convinced he’d score. He went for the most difficult solution, but it went well.

“In these two days, he’s shown himself to be brave, in every sense.”

Endrick had already opened his account for his new club, netting in a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid recently.

There have been rumours of a dressing-room rift at Madrid following the arrivals of Mbappe and Endrick this summer and Thibaut Courtois further fuelled speculation by insisting that, if the Brazilian had failed to find the net, questions would have been asked by his teammates.

“If he missed, they [Vinicius and Mbappé] would have killed him,” the Belgian said.

“But if he has the confidence to shoot, he has a super powerful shot.

“If he scores, everyone keeps quiet! He’s a boy with a lot of quality. It shows his personality.”

Endrick also made history by becoming the youngest player to ever score in the competition for Real Madrid.

Aged just 18, the talented star overtook a record that had previously been held by former forward Raul.

It’s also been an eventful few days for Endrick, who married partner Gabriely Miranda earlier this week.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are unbeaten so far this season and currently sit top of the La Liga table.

Looking to reclaim both their European and domestic crowns, it’s been a strong start overall for Los Blancos.
