The CBS panel called out the striker for one key attribute.
The CBS panel have named the one thing Erling Haaland can’t do as a striker after his disappointing display for Manchester City against Inter Milan.
Despite a 100% start in the Premier League, it was a disappointing opening Champions League night for Pep Guardiola who saw his side settle for a 0-0 draw against the Serie A winners.
City had a late flurry of chances through second-half substitutes Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan, but they could probably count themselves lucky to escape with a point following a strong display from Inter.
The goalless draw meant Erling Haaland failed to beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of being the fastest player to 100 goals for a club (105), however, the Norwegian has the chance to equal the Al-Nassr star in his next match.
It was a surprisingly anonymous performance from Haaland considering his record-breaking start to the Premier League campaign (nine goals in four games) and the CBS panel were quick to point out where he needs to improve.
Speaking in the post-match analysis Thierry Henry questioned whether Haaland has what it takes to impact the game when he’s not scoring goals.
“Can he drop though, and get the ball?” the ex-Arsenal man asked.
Unsurprisingly, Micah Richards jumped to the striker’s defense, replying: “It’s not his game.”
“I know it’s not, but do you think he can drop, get the ball, and make things happen? Do you?” Henry continued.
“Not as well as we’d like to see him, no, but I do believe his all-round game this season has improved from last season,” Richards answered.

“Can he go in the middle and play like Kane can do? Right now? No. I think he can improve. Right now, he can’t do that,” Henry reiterated.
“I was just making a point that right now, I don’t think he can do that.”
Haaland has often faced criticism for his lack of influence on games, but with five assists last season, he has clearly demonstrated his ability to turn provider when necessary.
