MANILA – Kim Chiu likened herself to a stage mother when she expressed on social media how proud she is of her younger brother John.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, Chiu congratulated her brother for achieving his dream of becoming a licensed pilot.

“Once you set that goal and you worked hard for it, it will really turn into reality! Isa ka nang ganap na pilot! Happy for you, John! Watching you do all those things that you dreamt about,” she said.

“Before nag-doubt pa ‘ko kung kaya mo to live in Canada away from us to study and double job on the side. Congrats, John! You made it!” she added.

Since Chiu’s brother can now fly planes, it was just right that he took his family on an aerial tour of Edmonton, Canada.

And being the proud sister that she is, Chiu captured on video their first plane ride with John as the pilot.

Currently, Chiu is still with her siblings in Canada for a quick vacation.
