It’s Showtime hosts Kim Chiu and Darren Espanto were rushed to the hospital amid their preparation for “Magpasikat.”
It has been a tradition of the Kapamilya noontime show to have “Magpasikat” during their anniversary celebration. Hosts are divided into groups and each group will showcase their production numbers in a week-long celebration. From Monday to Friday, the assigned group will perform every day.
Last year, the group composed of Kim, Jhong Hilario, and Ion Perez won the Magpasikat. This year for their 15th anniversary, Kim is joined by Ogie Alcasid, MC, and Lassy, and they are the second group.
The first group is composed of Vice Ganda, Karylle, and Ryan Bang. Vhong Navarro, Amy Perez, Daren Espanto, and Ion Perez belong to the third group while Anne Curtis, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz are in the fourth group.Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez will perform on the fifth day. These groupings were already announced last August.
Prominent judges are also being invited to choose the best group. Weeks before the presentation, the hosts have intense preparations in order to provide an amazing performance for their avid viewers who have been celebrating with them every milestone.
However, these preparations can be so tiring and sometimes, it would affect them physically. Based on the article in Inquirer, Kim Chiu and Darren Espanto were rushed to the hospital amid their Magpasikat preparation.“Tinodo masiyado sa training for ‘Magpasikat’ 2024 [grinning face with sweat emoji],” Darren wrote in the caption of his post featuring his photo in front of the radiology department in a hospital. It can be seen that there was a bandage on his wrist.
“Waiting for my x-ray results! Ok naman po ako. Please continue to pray for all the hosts and the people behind ‘It’s Showtime’! We’re doing our best for y’all! Ilaban natin ‘to!” the singer added.
