THE debate rages on as to whether Jayson Castro’s buzzer-beating shot should have counted or not.

But for June Mar Fajardo, it’s time to move on as he would rather focus on the next game where San Miguel will try to equalize the series after that 86-84 loss on Sunday.

“Wala na ‘yun,” said Fajardo. “’Yung referee, table official, sila ang may nakakaalam. Kung counted ‘yun, counted ‘yun. Kailangan mag-move on.”

The loss spoiled Fajardo’s efforts after he poured in 24 points and 16 rebounds in the Game One defeat. The Beermen held a 45-30 lead during the second quarter only to falter in the end.

Fajardo said the Beermen still have a lot of chances to come back in the series, with Game Two set on Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

“Panalo talaga sila. Talo kami. Game One pa lang ‘yun. Marami pa kaming chance. May chance pa kami mag-bounce back. Bukas, may practice kami,” said Fajardo.

Fajardo sees that the emphasis of the coaching staff will be on what went wrong during that TNT turnaround where it outscored San Miguel, 33-15, in the third quarter.

“’Yun ‘yung kailangan naming i-address. Kapag nakalamang kami ng malaki, biglang nagrerelax ‘yung opensa namin. Nire-remind kami lagi ni coach. Kailangan namin i-work out ‘yun,” said Fajardo.

CJ Perez had 21 points while Jericho Cruz had 10 points. Fajardo credited the defense of TNT for that output.

“Maganda rin kasi depensa ng Talk ‘N Text. Bukas, may viewing kami. Kailangan namin mapanood kung saan kami nagkulang at kung ano ang kailangan naming i-adjust,” said Fajardo.

San Miguel coach Leo Austria politely declined to be interviewed after Game One.
