Regarding naming his daughter, Salah said: “Maggie chose the name Mecca from the moment we met. She told me that if we had a daughter, we would name her Mecca. I told her that when we get married and have children, everyone would name her Mecca.”

He continued: “She was the one who named the girls. Until Kayan told me this was a new name, I did not object and told her it was fine.”

Regarding his family’s adaptation outside Egypt, he said in statements to the “Al Hekaya” program: “Makkah speaks with a British accent now. She makes fun of me because you speak Arabic.
