San Miguel just got eliminated in the PBA Governors’ Cup. In the midst of the SMB fans’ anger and frustration, Aerieal Patnongon defended the team.

Some fans threw ruthless words to the team by saying that the Beermen is “trash” without their 4-time MVP June Mar Fajardo, who just saw action last October 27 due to a shin injury.

However, Fajardo’s girlfriend believes the other way around. Patnongon pointed out that those sentiments are not really flattering for her boyfriend, and that the real SMB supporters should not discredit the efforts of the whole team. She also added that the squad just felt short, but ultimately did their best.

Ghad. Stop saying SMB is trash without June Mar. Mukha syang flattering but it’s not. Stop discrediting efforts of his teammates. They were able to hold the fort while JMF’s injured and unfortunately kinapos lang. Everyone did what they can do.

Last Wednesday, the Beermen was dominated by the Alaska Aces during the Governors’ Cup Quarterfinals, 96-85.

Fajardo was held to 6 points after the beatdown.
