Marian Rivera made Ivana Alawi cry—but not for the wrong reasons.

Ivana, who appeared starstruck seeing her idol in her latest vlog, mentioned at the beginning her admiration for the GMA actress. “Pinaka-maganda at pinaka-idol ko, Ms. Marian Rivera,” she said, sharing that her favorite role of hers is MariMar.

The vlog began with the two talking about their acting careers, including the favorite roles they portrayed, how they dealt with bashers, struggles in life, and more.

During the interview, the One True Love star mentioned that she rarely accepts interviews in her family’s residence.

“Bihirang-bihira ako tumanggap ng nag-iinterview sa akin na ginagawa dito sa bahay, isa ka dun sa nag-yes ako, oh diba,” Marian said.

Little did Ivana know she would get an unexpected twist near the end of the vlog when they were asked about the possibility of working together in a movie or TV series.

Ivana said, “Ay day, baka di ko pa call time nandun na ako.” Marian reacted annoyingly, “Bakit late ka kanina? O, sabi mo maaga ka bakit ngayon late ka?”

She went on to ask if she ever got late to any of her work commitments, including to the set of Batang Quiapo TV series which she stars with Coco Martin.

“Palagi ba siyang late? Hindi magandang attitude yan kapag artista ka,” she told Ivana. Ivana tried to deny and explain herself, but got overwhelmed as Marian continued to express how irritated she was, reiterating, “Ayaw kong nale-late, eh.”

“Eh bat dito attitude ka sa akin? Bakit ka na-late? Pinaghintay mo ako. Alam mo, walang nagpapahintay sa akin dito. Tapos ikaw late?” Marian asked Ivana, who started to get teary-eyed. “Tapos ito lang handa mo sa akin, crab lang?”

Ivana eventually cried and asked her team to pack up after Marian walked out and told her that they would never collaborate again.

“Huwag niyong ilabas ito ah. Hindi ako natutuwa sa inyo. Ano ‘to?” Marian continued.

After a few moments, the Rewind star rushed to hug Ivana to reveal that it was just a prank, with her sister, Mona as the mastermind.

In the same vlog, Mona shared the behind-the-scenes where she asked Marian to prank her sister to make their collaboration “memorable.”

“Medyo hesitant si Ate Marian, si Ms. Marian, sa pagpapaiyak ng ate ko. Pero ito po talaga ‘yung love language namin kaya okay lang po talaga,” she said. “It means we love each other.”

Ivana, who turned 27 on Christmas day, tearfully said, “Hindi ko malilimutan ‘tong birthday,” with Marian sharing that it was her first time to do a prank.

“Wala na, wala na tatalo sa prank na ‘to, ‘yung pinrank ka ng idol mo,” she added.

Marian is known for her roles in hit movies and TV series including MariMar, Amaya, Dyesebel (2008), and the recently released Rewind. Ivana, on the other hand, is an actress and one of the biggest Filipino content creators; she is known for her roles in A Family Affair, Open, and Batang Quiapo, among others.
