From being the ordinary Batangueña kid who got netizens entertained through her vlogs that went viral online, Kulot, whose real name is Princess Kathryn Caponpon, has eventually become a household name when she started to appear on It’s Showtime as one of its child stars.

She initially amused the madlang people with her eloquence and quick-wittedness during her on-cam exchanges with the hosts and her fellow Batang Cute-pos in every episode of the “Isip Bata” segment in 2023. As she continues with her stint in the noontime show, we get to further see her innate kakulitan and other talents, particularly her impressive acting chops that she’s able to showcase via the “Showing Bulilit” segment.

And in this edition of Showtime Toplist, let’s revisit some of her noteworthy acting moments in the aforementioned segment that indeed displayed her potential as a young dramatic actress!

Let’s begin with that instance when she took on the role of her famous namesake, Kathryn Bernardo, in the 2015 film “Crazy Beautiful You.” She and Imogen recreated the dramatic scene between the characters of the “Asia’s Superstar” and veteran actress Lorna Tolentino.

In another episode, Kulot portrayed the character of Julia Montes in the 2011 movie “Wayback Home,” with Kelsey playing Kathryn’s part. They received a round of applause from everyone in the studio for their compelling performance as estranged sisters, Ana and Jessie.

Kulot then channeled the inner Angel Locsin in her as she and Jaze, who assumed the character of Piolo Pascual, recreated one of the dramatic scenes from the 2008 flick “Love Me Again” that even made her eyes swell because of crying.

She then went on to give us a mind-blowing performance when she and Jaze did what was apparently the most intense scene in the 1997 drama film “Batang PX.” Apart from bawling, she was also able to impressively deliver the very long line of Zsa Zsa Padilla’s character that she had to memorize. Kulot was so good that the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda advised her co-hosts to not answer immediately but also declared that she would not press the buzzer for that round as her way of showing appreciation to them.

Those who got to watch the classic 1998 flick “Labs Kita…Okey Ka Lang?” starring the well-loved tandem of Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin certainly felt nostalgic when Kulot and Jaze reenacted its most notable confrontation scene. Some perhaps even uttered the famous lines of Jolina’s character Bujoy along with Kulot, who astoundingly took to heart the scene as she delivered it with emotions.

And lastly, she also impressed the madlang people with her portrayal of the Superstar Nora Aunor’s character in the timeless 1976 film “Minsa’y Isang Gamu Gamo.” She and Argus did the part when the veteran actress uttered the iconic lines, “My brother is not a pig. Ang kapatid ko ay tao, hindi siya baboy-damo. Hindi siya baboy-damo,” with matching tears from her eyes.
