Olympic boxer Eumir Marcial has denied accusations of infidelity from his wife, Princess Jeniel Galarpe, claiming the alleged other woman is only a friend.

Princess earlier revealed in a lengthy Facebook post that she and Eumir have put an end to their 14-year relationship after he allegedly cheated on her with another woman.

Princess claimed she and her sister personally caught her husband having an affair with a certain “Jessa” in October of the previous year at an Airnbnb in Pasay City “where we had them both arrested at a police station.”

Despite the betrayal and her family’s objections,Princess said she gave Eumir multiple chances to mend their relationship, even legally allowing his release.

“As his wife, I felt then that I still owe Eumir the responsibility to forgive him so I permitted his release by signing an affidavit of desistance while his mistress signed the compromise agreement thinking Eumir would take this chance to correct his mistake and do better.”

Eumir, however, supposedly continued the affair and manipulated her, said Princess, further stating that he withdrew their shared savings to build a house for himself and the woman in Zamboanga City.

“Currently, I’ve managed to maintain some correspondence with some of our mutual and trusted friends in Zamboanga City where they alluded that Eumir and his mistress have decided to live together,” shared Princess.

“Apparently, he withdrew all our savings and used the money to construct a house for him and his mistress in Zamboanga. I also have friends who have personally seen them together,” she added.

Princess then reached the decision to sever ties with Eumir after enduring “trauma, manipulation, emotional stress, physical abuse, and psychological torment these past few months and throughout our years of being together.”

“As some of you may also know, I have been Eumir’s brand manager for the longest time, sacrificing my career to help build his. With this, I have also received active threats from Eumir saying he will ensure that I can no longer step in America nor get anything from our separation,” she furthered.

Princess is seeking prayers for her family’s safety and healing as she mentioned facing threats and manipulations from Eumir, expressing concern for her and her family’s safety.

On Saturday, Eumir spoke to the local media to address his wife’s accusations.

The 2020 Olympics bronze medalist acknowledged that his relationship with Princess has long been strained, marked by frequent arguments, claiming that Princess had repeatedly hurt him.

“Hindi na maayos ‘yung relasyon [namin] dahil parati kaming nag aaway, parati niya akong sinasaktan. Alam ng mga kaibigan ko ‘yan, alam ng pamilya niya, alam nila lahat ‘yan. Kung dumating man kami sa punto ngayon, alam nila na mangyayari ‘to dahil sa ugali niya,” the boxer said in a video posted by 89.9 Brigada Zamboanga.

Eumir suggested that the injuries Princess sustained were accidental as he was just defending himself during those instances.

“Kung sinasaktan ko siya, do you think na ganun lang ‘yung mangyayari sa kanya? Mayroon siyang pasa sa paa, mayroon siyang ganito. Aksidenteng nangyari ‘yun dahil pinoprotektahan ko ‘yung sarili ko kaya nangyari ‘yun,” said Eumir.

Eumir said he and Princess no longer slept and lived together after his Paris Olympics 2024 bout and that he would go out with friends.

He also explained that the woman Princess accused him of having an affair with was simply a friend and that they were together with some other company in the condo.

“‘Yung babae na nakita nila sa picture, kaibigan ko ‘yun na isang beses lang na pinuntahan ko kasi taga-Zamboanga siya eh. Coincidence na nagkita kami sa Makati, taga-Zamboanga pala, nagkakilala, nag-usap, and then ‘yun, nagsama. Actually, nung nagsama kami, may kasama siyang kaibigan, may kasama din ako,” noted Eumir.

The boxer also refuted Princess’ accusations that he drained their joint savings to build a house for his alleged mistress.

“Unang una, ‘yung joint account namin, nasa kanya. Hawak niya ngayon. Lahat ng titulo ng bahay namin sa Maynila, ‘yung mga property namin, nasa kanya.

“At ‘yung sinasabi niyang pinapatayuan ko ng bahay ‘yung babae, hindi ‘yun totoo. Mismo ngang tatay ko, magulang ko, hindi ko mapatayuan ng bahay,” he stressed.

Eumir also expressed frustration over Princess having to bring their personal matters out in the public eye when they talked about settling their issues privately.

“Gusto pa niya kumuha ng simpatya sa taong-bayan na ganito, niloko siya, sınaktan siya, gumawa pa ng story. Lahat ng sinabi niya sa report sa social media hindi totoo.”

Princess promptly dismissed Eumir’s rebuttals in a follow-up Facebook posts, reiterating her accusations as she stated in one, “Di ko expect na ganito ka lala yung pagsisinungaling na gagawin mo.”

Sharing photos from her phone camera roll as “evidence,” Princess belied Eumir’s claim that their relationship ended a long time ago, showing that they were still together until she allegedly caught him in the act in late October last year.
