Andi Eigenmann pens beautiful poem for mom, Jaclyn Jose
“Makikita din tayong muli.” – Andi Eigenmann wrote in her poem for mom Jaclyn Jose
“Her life itself was her greatest obra maestra.”
That is how Andi Eigenmann described her mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose when she confirmed her passing on March 4 in a press conference. And to honor her mother, Andi wrote a short but sweet poem for her and posted it on her Instagram Stories.
“Ika’y nasa araw, sa ulan, at sa hangin na aking nilalasap. Umaawit ng kantang puno ng pag-asa at ligaya,” the first two lines said.
The poem continued by saying, “Wala na ang sakit. Wala na ang takot.”
“Makikita kita sa mga ulap, maririnig ang iyong mga bulong ng pagmamahal. Makikita din tayong muli,” Andi wrote.
Andi ended the poem with, “Sa ngayon didinggin ko muna ang iyong mga awit.”
News that Jaclyn passed away broke out on March 3. On March 4, Andi, together with her brother, Gabby Eigenmann, confirmed Jaclyn’s passing on the morning of March 2 due to a myocardial infarction, more commonly known as a heart attack.
“It’s with great sadness that I announce the untimely passing of my nanay, Mary Jane Guck, better known as Jaclyn Jose at the age of 60 (sic) on the morning of March 2, 2024 due to myocardial infarction or a heart attack,” she said.

She then thanked everyone who extended their prayers and condolences for their family, and requested that they be given “the respect and privacy to grieve.” She then hoped their statement “would put all speculations to rest.”
She finished their press conference by honoring her mother and the legacy that she left with them. “I would just like to say that her undeniable legacy will definitely forever live on through her work, through her children, her grandchildren, and the many lives she’s touched as she herself, her life itself was her greatest obra maestra.”
