Kapamilya actor JC De Vera shares what actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga asked him before that got him feeling offended.

Alex Gonzaga has been the subject of a couple of controversies in the past few years that earned the ire of netizens. To recall, Alex had this cake issue almost two years ago which ignited several people who have worked with her to reveal her “attitude”.

Back then, a lot of people from the production who have worked with her aired their bad experiences with her. Mostly, they talked about her entitlement, poor work ethic, and how she was te cause of the delay of their shooting before, hence, the cake-smearing incident no longer came as a shock to them.

But despite these negative claims about her, many people still love her and her humor.

Recently, in an interview with JC De Vera, he revealed his first encounter with Alex. It happened years ago and that was the time they first worked together for Lokomoko, a gag show.

He was just practically new on TV5 and since the shooting for the gag show was outdoors, he wore Oakley shades, and suddenly and unexpectedly, she blurted out a question that got him offended.

“So, naka-shades ako na pula, Oakley [ang brand], naaalala ko pa, hindi ko talaga makalimutan. Tapos tinanong niya ako, ‘JC, original ba yang shades mo?’ Natawa ako kasi hindi ko alam kung maiinis ba ako o maaasar ako sa kanya. Pero definitely, na-offend ako,” he shared.

He did know what to feel at that time but he particularly knew to himself that it was offensive for him. Instead of expressing his true feelings, he just quipped, “Orig to!” to her but there was an awkward moment within him.

In his mind he was thinking, “Anong isasagot ko sa yo? Bago lang ako dito tapos tatanungin mo ako nag ganyan. Parang, mukha ba akong nagsusuot ng fake?”
