Marian Rivera pens heartwarming birthday message for her Lola Iska

Marian Rivera showed her love and admiration to her beloved Nanay Iska who recently celebrated her 94th birthday.

In an Instagram post, the Kapuso Primetime Queen shared a photo of her with her grandmother as well as a snap with her kids and loved ones. Along with these, Marian expressed her gratitude and love to her lola saying, “Happy Birthday, Nanay! Today, we celebrate you and all the love you’ve given us. Thank you for being our rock and our greatest supporter.”

She added, “Happy Birthday, Nanay! Today, we celebrate you and all the love you’ve given us. Thank you for being our rock and our greatest supporter.”

Various local celebrities and netizens also greeted Marian’s grandmother in the comments section.

In a separate post, the Balota star uploaded a video of her son, Sixto, giving a bouquet of flowers to Lola Iska while adorably singing the happy birthday song.

“Awww super sweet naman ng Sixto namin. Happy Birthday Nanay,” she wrote.

The award-winning actress is known to be close to her grandmother who raised her while her mother, Amalia, worked overseas.

“Lola ko ang nagpalaki sa akin. Sabi ko nga eh hindi porke’t lola ko siya eh lola. Para sa akin isa kasi siya sa tinuring kong talagang nanay ko, na masasabi ko siya ‘yung puso ng tahanan. Kung wala siya, hindi ko alam kung ano meron ako ngayon kasi sa kanya ko natutunan ‘yung determinasyon sa buhay,” she said in a past interview.
