Kim Chiu on ‘Magpasikat’ win: ‘This journey has been one of the most unforgettable’

Kim Chiu is “extra grateful” after her team with Ogie Alcasid, MC and Lassy emerged victorious in this year’s “Magpasikat” competition on “It’s Showtime!”

On Instagram, the Chinita Princess shared some snaps of their team receiving the award on Saturday, along with words of gratitude to everyone who worked behind them.

“My heart is so full of gratitude, and I find myself at a loss for words to truly express how thankful I am,” Kim began.

According to the actress, the “journey has been one of the most unforgettable and meaningful experiences” she encountered, which would not have been possible without her incredible team.

“Thank you for your relentless dedication, passion, and resilience,” she said.

Kim took a moment to look back at every challenge and breakthrough they shared that made her “Magpasikat” experience so “special.”

“I am beyond grateful for the laughter, the strength, and the endless support we gave each other. Together, we created something so much bigger than any one of us—a story and a message that will live on in the hearts of those it touches,” she said.

Ending her post, the TV host and actress expressed her gratitude for the people who “believed, contributed and encouraged” them, and gave them a piece of their victory.

“Thank you, from the depths of my heart, for making this ‘Magpasikat 2024’ an unforgettable one. Congratulations to all the teams and happy 15th anniversary,” she ended.

In the comments section, Ogie went on to express her love, gratitude and support for his beloved teammate.

“Love you kimmy ng malala! Salamat sa spirit mong sobrang mapagbigay. I will always be here for you my dear,” he wrote.

The team highlighted the importance of taking time to rest and prioritizing self-care through a performance that included a soulful original song by Ogie, a skit about personal struggles by MC and Lassy, and an interpretive circus-like dance by Kim.

Kim, Ogie, MC, and Lassy took home the grand prize of P300,000, which they will donate to the Angat Buhay Foundation for their relief operations for Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez won second place, and Anne Curtis, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz for third place.
