Angelica Panganiban admits that she feels more comfortable doing love scenes compared to her leading men.
The ABS-CBN actress revealed this during a Facebook Live interview conducted by Star Cinema last January 15.
The lead actresses of Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes were tasked to ask each other questions.
Judy Ann asked her: “Dumating ba ang point na nawawala ang awkwardness mo sa paggawa ng kissing scene or love scene?”
Angelica admitted, “Hindi ako nao-awkward, e.”
“Ako pa nga nagga-guide sa kanila, e!” she said with a laugh.
“’Pag nahihiya sila, napapaisip ako, ‘May mali ba sa ‘kin?'”
Judy Ann asked her if she drinks alcohol before doing love scenes but Angelica denied this.
Judy Ann revealed that when she does a love scene, she needs to drink alcohol. “Kailangan lasing ako,” she said matter-of-factly.
Angelica continued, “Yung mga boys actually sila pa yung nahihiya.”
She pointed out that doing a love scene early on in her career could have helped her to become comfortable with her body.

The actress, who was 18 years old when she did an intimate scene in her 2004 film Santa Santita, recalled:
“Siguro kasi yung pinaka-una kong love scene sa Santa Santina, topless talaga ako pero likod lang yung kita.
“Kumbaga dun ako nasabak, kaya siguro ‘pag may pinapagawa sa ‘kin, minamani ko lang.
“Saka never pa naman nangyari sa akin na first day, love scene agad yung kukunan.”
However, Angelica admitted that she still feels awkward in instances where her leading man is married.
“Karamihan naman sa kanila mas casual. Nakakailang ‘pag kay Kuya Dingdong [Dantes] kasi may asawa siya.”
The ABS-CBN actress said this was made even more complicated by the fact that she is a good friend of GMA-7 actress Marian Rivera, the wife of Dingdong.
“Medyo nahihiya ako tapos kaibigan ko si [Marian Rivera], parang natatawa ako. Yun medyo awkward yun.”
She added that it also feels awkward when they have a huge age gap.

“Sila Kuya Gabby [Concepcion], pero dahil lang siguro sa age,” explained Angelica.
“Pero lahat kasi nabu-bully ko, e, sila Paulo Avelino, sila Z [Zanjoe Marudo], [sinasabihan ako] ‘Huy, umayos ka nga!’ Ako yung nagaganon.”
