Fernandes was shown a straight red card against Tottenham.
The Premier League have made a final decision on Bruno Fernandes after Manchester United appealed the red card he received against Tottenham Hotspur.
The United captain was sent off for a foul on James Maddison during the first half of his side’s 3-0 defeat.
Spurs led 1-0 at the time, before scoring twice more in the second half through Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke.
The straight red card for serious foul play meantĀ Fernandes would miss the next three games, against Aston Villa, Brentford and West Ham.

But theĀ Premier LeagueĀ have decided to overturn the red card following a review.
United successfully claimed for wrongful dismissal, meaning Fernandes will not miss any matches.
Despite being sent off, Fernandes volunteered to do post-match interview duties forĀ UnitedĀ after the 3-0 loss, and argued that he should not have been shown a red card.
He toldĀ Sky Sports: “Even James Maddison, when he gets up, he said it’s not a red card. If this is a red card, we have to look at many other incidents.
“I don’t understand why VAR doesn’t call him [referee] to the screen. The red card makes it worse.

“I have to appreciate all the effort my team-mates have done to try and return to the game, but it wasn’t possible. They showed great effort and character.”
On Sunday, the Premier League Match Centre Twitter account stated that VAR checked the incident and confirmed referee Chris Kavanagh’s original decision.
The postĀ read: “The referee issued a red card to Fernandes for a challenge on Maddison.
“The VAR checked and confirmed the referee’s call of serious foul play.”
