Liverpool 'prepare' stunning January swap deal with Real Madrid that would shock the entire world

Liverpool and Real Madrid are working on a swap deal, according to stunning reports.

Liverpool are reportedly ‘preparing’ a stunning January swap deal with Real Madrid that would send shockwaves through world football.

Arne Slot, who was appointed in the summer, is enjoying a sensational start as Liverpool boss as his side sit at the top of the Premier League and the Champions League.

The Reds are five points clear of Manchester City in the league and have won their opening four games of this season’s European campaign.

But the club could look to strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the season as they fight on four fronts.

Liverpool tried to sign a No.6 during the summer transfer window, having pursued Real Sociedad’s Martín Zubimendi, who ultimately turned down a transfer to Anfield.

Aurelien Tchouameni has been strongly linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, with Liverpool thought to be keeping tabs on his situation.

According to Defensa Central, Liverpool are readying a shock swap deal that would see Trent Alexander-Arnold join Real, with Tchouameni going the other way.

Tchouameni, who joined the club in the summer of 2022, is valued around £50 million by the Spanish giants, who are prepared to offload the 24-year-old.

The French midfielder, who has made 15 appearances across all competitions this season, has played 103 games since his switch from AS Monaco.

As for Alexander-Arnold, his existing deal expires at the end of the season, with the star player yet to agree a new deal.

Liverpool will be hoping to hold onto his services but if he refuses to sign a new deal, then the club would look to cash in on him.

Alexander-Arnold, 26, graduated from the club’s youth academy and has spent his entire career at Liverpool, making 325 appearances, helping his side to Premier League and Champions League glory during his illustrious spell.
