The ex-Real Madrid player reportedly had the baby’s name tattooed on his arm.

A former Real Madrid player had his baby’s name tattooed on his body only to find out he is not the father.

20-year-old Vinicius Tobias began his youth career with Brazilian side Internacional before moving to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2022.

Since moving to the Ukrainian club, Tobias has been loaned to Spanish giants Madrid for the last two years.

The defender made 61 appearances for Real Madrid Castilla and also played one match for the Madrid first team, a 3-1 win over Arandina in the Copa del Rey.

This summer, it was announced that Tobias had returned to Shakhtar and signed a new deal until June 2029.

Earlier in the month, Tobias, along with his ex-wife Ingrid Lima welcomed their daughter, Maite, to the world.

As reported by The Sun, Tobias celebrated the birth by getting ‘Maite, I love you’ tattooed onto his arm, which appeared to be spotted on a now deleted post on Instagram after the birth of the baby on October 8.

However, Lima then revealed that the pair had an on-off relationship at the time of Maite’s conception and that a DNA test has proved Tobias was not the biological father of the baby.

She wrote on an Instagram story: “I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out on publicly to give you an explanation.

“Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone and so was he.”

Lima continued: “We both moved on with our lives. In the meantime, Maite came along. We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius’ daughter.”

Tobias is a highly-rated player and has previously been compared to the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dani Alves.

The 20-year-old’s former coach Joao Miguel previously told GOAL: “The relationship between the ball and and him is great, while the ability he has to solve the problems of the game is also very high, as well as his understanding of the tactical issues of the game.

“His physical attributes are very good, too, and he has good mental strength. He is a player who likes a duel and who enjoys the challenges of the game. So it is with huge happiness that he is already making his way abroad, where he will shine thanks to all of these skills.”
