Gonzaga criticized the spread of misinformation, attributing it to trolls who use fake news to generate video views for profit. “At saka ‘yung mga trolls din naman, for the views kasi. Siguro kumikita sila doon… Issue nila iyon. Bahala sila doon,” she stated.
She also called out those who believed the rumors, describing the situation as “kadiri” (disgusting). Despite the false claims, Gonzaga expressed gratitude to her supporters who did not fall for the fake news. “Congrats naman sa lahat ng mga hindi naniniwala sa fake news at nakakapag-isip kayo nang maayos,” she added.
The actress ended her statement by encouraging people to be more discerning about the content they consume online.
