After revealing that she and Erwan Heussaff are having their first baby, Anne Curtis opened up on It’s Showtime about keeping her pregnancy a secret for the first few months. “We decided to keep it between us just because we wanted to keep the baby for us muna. Medyo nahirapan kami noong una… para ‘di mahalata.”
Her baby bump wasn’t obvious until they decided to share their “little secret” on Instagram. “Now we’re ready to share it with the whole world kaya ayan, nagpapakita na siya.”
Her co-hosts recalled seeing signs, though they didn’t know that she was pregnant at the time. They noticed her wearing a lot of black and loose-fitting clothes. Kim Atienza said there was just something different about her—which turned out to be her pregnancy glow.
Vhong Navarro noticed that Anne ate more rice than usual. “Ang aga mag-Pasko; ang daming rice na kinakain. Usually ‘pag December niya ginagawa ‘yon.” He added, “Hikab ng hikab. Ang lakad, pabagal ng pabagal. ‘Yon pala kasi bumibigat na siya.”
Some of her elderly fans noticed that Anne would always eat green mangoes, which is a common craving of pregnant women in the Philippines.
Her co-hosts were also in awe of her “Magpasikat” stunts at the 10th anniversary event of It’s Showtime last month. “Simple pa ‘yon,” Anne said. She had the go signal from her doctor and Erwan, and her trainer knew so they could keep the baby safe. Check out photos and snippets from her performance below:
Throughout her speech on the show, Anne kept tearing up because she felt “sobrang emotional.” In her 10 years with the show, she said she went from having a boyfriend to having a husband to now having a baby on the way. Aww!
