Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have released a Christmas card featuring a sweet new picture of Archie and Lilibet, but people are all asking the same question.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking to spread a little festive cheer as they released a new public Christmas card with an array of photos taken in the year.

There’s no doubt that American culture has kicked in, as they wished people ‘happy holidays’ instead of Merry Christmas – but we’ll let that slide.

What people were most excited about was a brand new picture of their children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.

The couple rarely release pictures of their little ones, so fans were thrilled to see an updated snap.

One of six pictures on the card saw the children running towards their parents, who had their arms wide open.

The family picture also includes their three dogs.

But people have all been saying the same thing about how the card reads.

The couple wrote: “On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, we wish you a very happy holiday season, and a joyful new year.”

It seems that despite stepping away from royal duties in 2020, they still opted to use their official titles.

One person commented: “Stop calling them Duke and Duchess, they gave up those titles when they turned their back on everything royal.”

Another agreed, adding: “I don’t understand how you can milk royal titles and yet having nothing to do with anything royal.”

A third wrote: “Using that duke and duchess title. But don’t want anything to do with the royals?”

However, others defended the couple, as one wrote: “It’s nice that they respect their children’s privacy.

“They really have thrived away from the UK, that was a good move.”

Meanwhile, others noted that the term ‘office’ felt insincere, as they technically do not hold a royal office anymore.

One said: “What office?”

Another added: “The ‘office of’? They don’t hold office in any sector.”

Why don’t Harry and Meghan show their kids?

While people are questioning why we only see the back of the children, a source close to Harry revealed over summer that he is keen to keep their privacy for as long as possible.

Talking to People magazine, they said: “Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats.
