Pia Wurtzbach first Filipino to walk on L’Oreal Paris Fashion Week runway

Metro Manila, Philippines – Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is making another milestone for the Philippines on the runway at the Paris Fashion Week for a global make-up brand.

On her Instagram, Wurtzbach shared her excitement for the upcoming L’Oreal fashion show dubbed as “Le Défilé ‘Walk Your Worth.'”

“Excited to make history as the first Filipina walking to the L’Oréal catwalk for Le Défilé! Can’t wait to see you all at the Palais Garnier- let the countdown begin,” said Wurtzbach followed by a heart emoji.

Top models including Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne are expected to walk with Wurtzbach.

Hollywood celebrities will also be featured, including Viola Davis and Eva Longoria.

“Breaking barriers and making history! Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey makes her mark as the first Filipina to walk the runway of L’Oréal Paris Le Défilé at Paris Fashion Week,” the cosmetics brand said.

Pia Wurtzbach returned to Paris Fashion Week (PFW) with a bang!

On Monday night, September 23, 2024 (Paris time), the former Miss Universe made history as the first Filipina to walk in L’Oreal Paris’ annual fashion show held at Place de l’Opéra.

According to the global beauty brand’s website, this prestigious annual event—titled Le Défilé: Walk Your Worth—gathers the brand’s ambassadors, leading fashion designers, and beauty experts to make a bold “feminine and feminist statement” while championing the “democratization of fashion and beauty.”

Pia’s runway appearance was particularly memorable as it took place on the eve of her 35th birthday.

And as expected, she looked stunning in her black dress with a sweetheart neckline that perfectly flaunted her décolletage.

The sleeves of her dress boasted oversized pink floral details, making them the perfect accent piece.

The runway also featured a galaxy of stars, including Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Jane Fonda, Eva Longoria, Aishwarya Rai, Luma Grothe, Aja Naomi King, Alia Bhatt, Camila Cabello, Viola Davis, Heidi Klum, Cindy Bruna, Iris Mittenaere, and many others.
