Kim Chiu broke down in tears as she shared her sentiments about moving on, saying acceptance is key, even if it’s painful.

During the “Expecially for You” segment of It’s Showtime on Valentine’s Day, February 14, the TV hosts were touched by the story of a contestant named Fe who shared about separating from her husband after he cheated on her, yet she accepted him again seven years later given her love for him and their children. The husband, however, died during the pandemic.

Vice Ganda first offered his sentiments on the topic, saying moving on from the death of a loved one is a difficult process.

“Kapag nawalan ka ng mahal sa buhay, pinipilit mong mag-move on pero kahit san ka pumunta at kahit anong gawin mo, nakikita’t nararamdaman mo siya. Pupunta ka sa mall, gusto mo mag-enjoy, pero nararamdaman at naaalala mo siya,” he said.

Chiu then pitched in and remarked that everything that’s happening in people’s lives is meant to happen and that it is easy when they accept this mindset.

Xian Lim on love: “Love is very painful and it’s also a very magical feeling. I think that’s what love does to you. But at a certain point, love disappears. This is what Xian Lim said is the current hashtag of his life during Boy Abunda’s interview with him on  Fast Talk with Boy Abunda  this Friday afternoon, March 23, 2024.

Not once, Boy and Xian’s conversation did not mention the ending of the actor’s eleven-year relationship with Kim Chiu.

But his answer was meaningful when he was asked about what love taught him.

Xian explained, “I think it teaches you pain.

“Love is very painful and it’s also a very magical feeling.

“I think that’s what love does to you.

“But at a certain point, love disappears.”

He continued, “It’s also very painful because of course, you are different.

“You are a different person and the other one is a different person. You have to learn to accept each other.

“And I think dun na magiging choice ang pagmamahal and you choose to stay together, and you choose to fight for each other, no matter what it is.”

When asked about what he is praying for now, Xian’s reaction seems to still have something to do with what happened in his relationship.

Sabi niya, “It’s so easy to make up different things because we have this freedom of speech, we have the social media thing.

“There’s so many different things circulating online so I think that’s also one that I pray for.

“Of course, the people close to me and the people who don’t know me believe what is really legit and really not believe the lies spreading across the internet.”

What are the things he will never return to?

“I will not go back to those… I have my own shares of controversies, and it’s a learning process and I don’t know what’s happening.

“I won’t go back to people like that because it’s a very painful time and it takes a lot of maturity and it takes a lot out of you.

“So, I won’t go back to that.”

Many people know that Xian loves his mother Mary Anne so much that if he has anyone to thank, it is none other than his mother.

“I owe a lot sa mom ko because remember, she’s a single mom and she always pushes me.

“Mom, I wanna say thank you dahil you always push me to be better.

“And he always reminds me, ‘Xian, you have to really prioritize… know your worth. Stop doing the negative self talk.’

“Kasi she catches me doing that a lot.

“Even when I’m down, even when I don’t get work. Because in our field, after you do more projects, you don’t know if you will have another one.

“My mom would always make it light. She would say, ‘What son, can you do it? That’s life, son, you’re going to have a hard time. Not every day you will wake up and you’re feeling great.

What you have to do is always show up every single day and know what your purpose is.’”
