Xian Lim said that he and Kim lasted for a decade because they ‘worked everything out’

Four months after his breakup with It’s Showtime host, Kim Chiu, Kapuso actor Xian Lim finally speaks up about their separation last year.

Reports about their breakup circulated in November 2023 and the two kept quiet until they confirmed their separation in separate Instagram posts last December.

Since then, theories and speculations about the end of their almost 12-year relationship have been thrown around, which included talks of cheating and involved people who are close to Xian’s heart.

Last May 2, Xian finally addressed all the allegations and confirmed his current relationship status with Viva Flim’s senior associate producer Iris Lee.

The actor also expounded on the ins and outs of his past relationship with Kim, and how they decided to go their separate ways.

“No one will truly know what is going on in a relationship,” Xian said, “Kaming dalawa lang makakapagsabi. And that is why it was our conscious effort to release that statement and let’s just leave it at that. It was a mutual understanding between me and (her) and that we’re going our separate ways. Hindi na kailangan pang magsabi kung sino’ng nagkulang.”

In the end, he emphasized that all the mutual understanding and partnered effort were fruits of their “beautiful relationship.”

The actor also shared the secret to their decade-long relationship, “[…] we worked it out. That’s why it lasted that long.”
