Kim Chiu, 30, met with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) regarding her viral dance video.
Some netizens accused Kim of getting out of her car and dancing to the tune of her viral song “Bawal Lumabas” allegedly in the middle of EDSA.
Kim reacted and said the accusation was “fake news.”
This Thursday, June 4, Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN that handles Kim’s career, released an official statement regarding the online meeting between the actress and MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia.
The meeting with the MMDA was held through Zoom, an online chat and video call app, on Kim’s own initiative.

During the meeting, Kim explained that she danced while her car was parked.
He allegedly did this in a parking area, and not on a major thoroughfare in Metro Manila.
Garcia reportedly accepted Kim’s explanation, saying the actress did not commit any traffic violations.
