Coney Reyes sa dating away nila ni Dina Bonnevie: “Huwag na nating ungkatin ang nakaraan!”

Short but sweet ang sagot ni Coney Reyes nang hingan siya ng reaksyon ng press, kasama na ang pikapika.ph, tungkol sa mga binitawang magagandang salita ni Dina Bonnevie sa press conference ng Anak ni Waray Vs. Anak ni Biday ukol sa kanilang nakaraang away noong 1980s.
Maalala na lubos na pinuri ni Dina si Coney, specifically kung paano niya pinalaki ang kanyang anak na si Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto at kung paano napalalim ni Coney ang kanyang sariling pananampalataya sa Diyos.
“Well, that’s nice,” sagot ni Coney sa pocket press interview para sa bago niyang Kapuso teleserye na Love of My Life. “Huwag na nating ungkatin ang nakaraan na almost 30 years ago. Tahimik na ang mga tao, nanahimik na sila sa mga asawa nila so let’s leave it be.”

“Maraming salamat pero, usually naman, hindi lang isang tao ang nakakatulong sa atin. Marami naman,” sabi ng beteranong aktres. “Pero maraming salamat [sa kanya]. I wish her well. She’s always been nice naman to Vico, eh, so walang problema.”
Nang tanungin naman ng press kung paano nila na-maintain ang kanilang friendship after ng away, pinili na lamang ni Coney na ulitin niya ang kanyang unang statement na huwag nang ungkatin ang nakaraan.
“Like I said, huwag na nating ungkatin ang nakaraan. Tama na,” sabi niya. “Aren’t you happy for all of us? I’m very happy for them, I’m very happy for her, I’m very happy for everybody being happy. Tumahimik na lang tayo.”
