Dina Bonnevie, then Mayor Vico Sotto was running

Dina Bonnevie shared that Vico Sotto used to run after her when the Pasig City mayor was young.

“There was a time na he’s always running away every time he saw me in church.

“Hanggang hinabol ko siya and I said, ‘Why are you always running away when you see me?’

“And then he said, ‘Because I know that I remind you of sin every time you see me,'” Dina recalled in Boy Abunda’s interview for Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.

Vico is the son of comedian-TV host Vic Sotto and actress Coney Reyes.

Vic was Dina’s ex-husband, and Coney was the reason they broke up.

Dina continued: “I told him, ‘No, you have nothing to do with it.’

“And then, tinanong ng pastor, ‘Why are you doing with the child?’

“I said, ‘I am not doing anything. I just told him that it’s not his fault. He has nothing…’

“In fact, he’s still little, I give him Oyo’s toys, even the encyclopedias.

“Those smaller clothes, not that Coney couldn’t afford. Of course, she had a lot of money, but it’s a pity.”

It is said that Dina also talked to her and Vic’s children, Danica and Oyo Sotto, to accept Vico.

Dina mentioned that when her daughter Danica was young, she also disliked Paulina Sotto, Vic’s daughter from the former Eat Bulaga! co-host Angela Luz.

According to Dina, “Of course, the children, at first, didn’t want it. Even Danica, ‘Nooo, I don’t like Paulina, I hate her!’

“Nung una, siyempre bata, and then i-explain mo, ‘Walang kasalanan yan. It’s not her fault that she’s in this world. It’s not your fault that she’s your sister. It’s not your fault that he’s your brother [Vico].’

“But now they love each other so much. They are very close.

“No problem. I mean, they really treat each other like brothers. It’s okay,” said Dina.
