Ara Mina reveals why Cristine Reyes left the MMFF Awards Gala

Actress Ara Mina has clarified why her sister Cristine Reyes was in tears as she left the 50th MMFF Gabi ng Parangal, held on December 27 at Solaire Hotel.

 

Videos have been spreading online that showed Cristine crying while leaving the event

In a text message to Pep.ph, Ara revealed why her younger sister was crying at that moment.

“That’s why he cried leaving the awards night and didn’t finish because our mom rushed him to the hospital that night, not because he didn’t win or he was embarrassed,” Ara was quoted as saying.

“I just saw this. I felt bad about this kind of news without knowing what really happened.”

Green Bones, produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, won the highly-coveted Best Picture award.

The 10 movies in the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival are still showing in cinemas nationwide until January 7.
