Seeing the baby born, the father was afraid to hold the baby but the doctor congratulated him.

The image of the child made the father extremely scared, his face pale, he did not even dare to hold his newborn child.

Children are the most precious thing to every parent. To witness the moment their child comes into this world, many fathers choose to go into the delivery room to accompany their wives during the birth process.

A young Chinese father also chose this meaningful thing. When his wife went into labor, he went into the delivery room with her and encouraged her a lot to help the birth process go smoothly.

However, when the midwife held the newborn baby out, the husband was extremely scared, not even daring to reach out to hold his child because he saw the baby’s entire body was wrapped in a transparent membrane. Immediately, the doctor had to answer the young father’s question: “Congratulations, you have a lucky baby.” It turned out that his child was born in a lucky sac, the surrounding membrane that the guy saw was called the amniotic membrane, which has the role of protecting the fetus while still in the mother’s womb.

Not only in China, in Vietnam, last March, doctors at Thu Cuc General Hospital (Hanoi) also successfully performed a cesarean section to deliver twins for the pregnant woman Nguyen Thi M. (36 years old, living in Dong Anh district, Hanoi), in which one baby was still in the amniotic sac. Specifically, the first baby boy was born normally, but when the next baby boy was born, the doctors were extremely surprised to see that the baby was still in the amniotic sac.

It is known that most babies are born without an amniotic sac, and it is very rare for a baby to be born with an intact amniotic sac. Babies born with an intact amniotic sac, commonly known as “caucasian sac”, are extremely rare, with a rate of only 1 in 80,000 cases and are considered a good omen in Vietnam, China, and many other countries around the world.

Many people believe that being born in a caul is a sign of good luck for both the baby and the parents. Some cultures even claim that babies born in a caul have extraordinary abilities to achieve great things. Of course, these are just interesting ideas and parents should not take them too seriously.

According to research, “amniotic sac” is the Vietnamese folk name for the amniotic sac – a membrane sac containing fluid surrounding the fetus. An amniotic sac has two layers, called the amniotic membrane and the chorion, which are very important for the development of the fetus. Although thin, the amniotic sac is very flexible. It will grow larger during pregnancy because the amniotic fluid increases, including the fetus’s urine. With this membrane, the fetus is formed and developed in a closed space. The amniotic sac helps protect the fetus from the risk of infection from the outside or from the danger of external shocks.
