Jake Cuenca is now part of ‘Batang Quiapo’

Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca said that he is excited to experience the best version of Batang Quiapo lead star Coco Martin.

Jake showed that he is a versatile actor. Over the years, he has done various roles in movies and TV shows. This year, he is one of the newest additions to the cast of the Kapamilya action series based on Da King Fernando Poe Jr’s movie.

The series is celebrating its second anniversary and new cast members were introduced and one of them was Jake.

In a recent interview, Jake Cuenca said that he is happy to be part of Batang Quiapo. It is an honor for him to work with prominent names in the Philippine entertainment industry.

“Extremely grateful to be part of this big successful project. Nakaka-humble kasi it’s always difficult to enter a show mid-way,” Jake shared.

The actor also said that looking at the cast members, he can say that he is in the presence of greatness. Jake shared that two of his acting mentors are here, veteran actors Ronnie Lazaro and Pen Medina.

Aside from the veteran actors, Jake also shared that his idols are also here, such as Albert Martinez and Christopher de Leon. This is not Jake’s first time working with Coco who is also the director of the Kapamilya primetime series. Batang Quiapo is their fourth project together.

“I just smiled noong tumawag sa akin. Tapos sinabi sa akin, ‘Oh, papasok ka na.’ Kasi nag-flashback sa akin ang Tayong Dalawa (2009),  Ikaw Lamang (2014) and Panday (2017). Definitely it feels like nag-full circle kami rito. And sabi ko nga, I’m so excited,” Jake Cuenca shared.

The actor also said that it is important for him to learn something from what he is doing. He is thankful to be part of this project and one of the reasons for this was seeing Coco’s best version.

“I’m just excited to experience the best version of Coco Martin. I’m excited to experience the best version of all the actors here. And thank you, thank you,” Jake said.
