Sam Mangubat has this post about the success that Sofronio Vasquez had

The Voice USA Season 26 winner Sofronio Vasquez was a Tawag Ng Tanghalan finalist and singer Sam Mangubat slammed those who criticized It’s Showtime and the Pinoy singing competition.

Safronio joined the singing competition in the Kapamilya noontime show twice, first in 2016 and he became part of the Resbak edition in 2019. In both instances, he was not declared as the grand champion.

However, when he joined the American singing competition, he showed that he deserved to be the champion under the mentorship of his coach Michael Buble.

Sofronio Vasquez became not just the first Filipino but also the first Asian to win in The Voice USA. Many Filipinos expressed how proud they are of him and many has been following his journey in the competition and showed support for him.

However, there were apparent negative reactions that surfaced online and this prompted the Facebook post that Sam Mangubat shared.

Sam is the first-runner of the first season of Tawag Ng Tanghalan. Even though he was not the champion, he was given opportunities in the music scene in the Philippines. The singer expressed happiness when Sofronio was hailed as The Voice USA Champion.

He shared a post of the announcement of the winner. After this, he shared a post sharing his thoughts on negative comments against It’s Showtime and TNT.

“Hindi ko magets bakit binabatikos yung mga show na pinanggalingan. Tapos na yon e. Baka di niyo alam, may text votes na factor din ang show,” Sam said. The singer also said that Sofronio has been good ever since but his performances in The Voice it was really evident that he became a seasoned singer.

“At malamang, proud sa kaniya ang lahat, maging ang It’s Showtime dahil isa to sa kinabilangan niyang show,” he stressed. Sam Mangubat added that instead of negativity, everyone should just celebrate Sofronio’s success.

In the comment section of Sam Mangubat’s post for Sofronio Vasquez, many netizens echoed the singer’s thought because for them, this is a celebration and there should be no room for negativity and they also expressed happiness for the champion.
