Ai-Ai delas Alas shared what happened when she saw Alden Richards during her birthday special

Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas revealed that Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards had a “kutob” about her breakup with her estranged husband Gerald Sibayan.

Ai-Ai emotionally confirmed her breakup with Gerald on November 11, her birthday, through the Kapuso afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. She revealed that Gerald broke up with her through a text message as she was in the Philippines while he was in the US.

During the interview with her friend Boy Abunda, the comedienne was asked if she doubted her estranged husband’s love for her. She said that after what happened, she started having doubts.

A day prior to her breakup confirmation, Ai-Ai delas Alas had her birthday celebration on the Kapuso Sunday variety show All-Out Sundays aired on November 10. She had her production number and received greetings from her fellow Kapuso stars.

In an interview on YouLOL Originals vodcast Your Honor hosted by Tuesday Vargas and Buboy Villar and was aired on December 14, the comedienne recalled that when they had their taping of AOS, that was the time when Gerald sent that heartbreaking message to her.

The fact that it was her birthday special added weight to her heart. She was telling herself to get through what she had to do and she would be fine. However, she was faced with the challenged to keep her emotions when she saw Alden Richards.

“E di ito na naitawid ko na nga ‘yung show, walang hiya nakita ko si Alden Richards. Nakita ko si Alden, e close ‘yun sa akin, e. Tsaka close rin ‘yun kay ex. So nung nakita ko siya parang ano ba? Ganun ka naman ‘di ba ‘pag may pinagdadaanan ka masyado ka emosyonal. Nung nakita ko siya [crying sounds] humagulgol ako,” Ai-Ai shared.

Alden did not expect that and he asked the comedienne what happened and she just answered that she missed the actor. When asked if Alden had a “kutob” what she was going through at that time, Ai-Ai said, “Nakakutob naman, viniber niya ako. Sabi niya, ‘Kung ano ‘yung pinagdadaanan mo Miss Ai, sabi niya okay lang ‘yan. Sabi niya naiitindihan kita.’”

Then, Buboy asked Ai-Ai how she was able to finish the taping despite the emotional stress that she was going through at that time. The comedienne admitted that she was “lutang” at that time but she had to do her best because it was her job.
