The Gerald Anderson-Janice de Belen rumored affair resurfaced on social media amid the controversy involving the actor, Bea Alonzo, and Julia Barretto.
In the midst of cheating allegations against Gerald and Julia, the past relationships of the actor were dug up. Netizens recalled his affair with his past girlfriends and the women who were linked to her.
Names of female celebrities that also surfaced along with this controversy were Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Sarah Geronimo, and Pia Wurtzbach. Netizens created memes out this issue. Even Grab PH used this controversy as part of their promotions which earned criticisms from the online community.

Apparently, there is an addition to those names of women in the entertainment industry who were linked to Gerald Anderson. Several netizens on Facebook also shared articles and photos featuring the alleged affair of the actor with Janice de Belen. The issue about them first surfaced back in 2015 when they were working together in the defunct Kapamilya series Budoy.

Janice played the role of Budoy’s (Gerald) mother in the said primetime series. However, speculation arose that they were more than just co-actors that time and allegedly that was the reason why Gerald and Maja Salvador broke up. Amid the allegations, the actor cleared the name of the seasoned actress.
“I don’t know if that will be corrected. It’s embarrassing for Janice’s family. I texted her. I asked if they were okay because that story is so pointless. I hope it stops because it’s embarrassing for other people,” Gerald Anderson said in a previous report.
